John Hubert Peschges
John Hubert Peschges (May 11, 1881 – October 30, 1944) was the second Roman Catholic Bishop of Roman Catholic Diocese of Crookston in Crookston, Minnesota.
Born in West Newton, Minnesota, Peschges was ordained a Roman Catholic priest for the Roman Catholic Diocese of Winona on April 15, 1905. On August 30, 1938, Pope Pius XI appointed Peschges Bishop of the Crookston Diocese, and he was consecrated on November 9, 1938.
John Hubert Peschges succeeded Timothy Corbett on November 16, 1938, after Corbett resigned on August 6, 1938. Peschges established the Confraternity of Christian Doctrine, religious courses for rural youth, and multiple organizations for agricultural development before he died in office on October 30, 1944.〔http://www.crookston.org/Cathedral/cathedra_Page394.htm〕
